Recipes that tell you the part other sites leave out.
Most recipes give you a list and hope for the best. Ours tell you why the rice turns to mush, why the shredded chicken went dry, and what to do about it. Every recipe here is written so that it works the first time, not the fifth.
Mexican Recipes
From 20 minute weeknight tacos to weekend pozole, grouped by protein so you can cook what is already in the fridge. Traditional dishes and honest Tex-Mex, always labeled as one or the other.
Diabetic Recipes
Cooking that leans on vegetables, lean protein and whole grains, with flavor coming from technique instead of sugar. Nutrition calculated from the USDA database, not estimated.
Bariatric Recipes
High protein cooking grouped by texture and by protein, built for small portions where every bite has to carry more. Practical, not prescriptive.

How we write recipes
Every recipe is written to be cooked, not skimmed. Times are measured from a cold pan, not from the moment your prep happens to be finished. Where a dish has a failure point, we name it and explain the cause instead of writing “do not overcook”.
Nutrition values come from the USDA FoodData Central database, calculated from the ingredient list. They are not estimates and they are not generated by software guessing at a number.
For the diabetic and bariatric sections we describe food, texture and technique. We do not set portion sizes, prescribe stages, or claim a recipe treats any condition. Those decisions belong between you and your own care team.
